The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking three (3) highly motivated individual for the position Language Consultants in the Education Department. 1 Cree, 1 Saulteaux, 1 Nakota  Language Consultant Reporting to the Director of Education the Language Consultant will work with existing teachers on the selection of appropriate resources.
Reporting to the Director of Education, the Language Consultant position is responsible for the following:
Duties:-Work with the Coordinator of Language and Culture, Community Consultants and YTC Curriculum consultants in ---Literacy, Numeracy and Science
-Network within communities and other service organizations
-Work with computer programs, print material and other supports to enhance language learning.
-Will assist the existing language teachers to integrate instruction into all curricula.
Qualifications:-Must have be knowledgeable in First Nations History and should be supported by the knowledge and understanding of First Nations language, culture, traditions and social issues
-Required to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously and may be interrupted frequently
-Must be willing to travel on occasion and must possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, and must submit a current Criminal Record Check.

Salary:  To Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Combination of education, relevant training and work experience will be considered.
Preference will be given to those of Aboriginal ancestry under exemption E-96 of the Human Rights Code.
