JNE is currently looking for an Outside Sales Representative/Estimator who will be responsible for:
OUTSIDE SALES
Develop ongoing long term business relationships with our customers.
Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
Follow up with customers and convert quotes or tenders into orders or contracts.
Overcome objections of prospective customers.
ESTIMATOR
Prepare formal written quotations that meet the needs of the client, limit risk to JNE Welding, and maintain profitability.
BOTH OUTSIDE SALES AND ESTIMATOR
Understand the needs of the client and the capabilities/capacities of JNE Welding.
Follow up on and prepare estimates when additional estimating support is required.
Primary Objectives:
Develop long term business relationships.
Convert quotes into contracts.
Develop our customer base.
Provide support to the Estimating department.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
2 3 years experience in the steel fabrication industry and sales is preferred.
Ability to read drawings at an advanced level preferred.
Knowledge of steel fabrication codes and regulations is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Outgoing personality with good listening skills.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Solution focused.
Proficient computer skills strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) and basic AutoCAD skills.
Proficient with Social Media.
Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering, or a degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business would be an asset.
Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time including overnight.
