The Opportunity
Our Macklin, SK location is currently looking for a Rod Rig Derrickhand/Floorhand to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely assisting the Floorhand.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following policies & processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Assist with hanging and running rods;
Assist with rigging up and rigging down equipment;
Operate pump truck(s);
Complete all required safety paperwork;
General labourer duties as required.
Key Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years rod rig experience;
Service rig experience;
Pump truck operating experience;
Class 3 license with a clean 5-year drivers abstract;
Valid Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, CST, Fall Protection, etc.).

Specific Skills
- Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems and drill bits
- Handle, sort and move drill pipes, tools, cement and other materials
- Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment
- Clean up rig areas
- Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment
- Assist other workers to maintain drilling equipment on drill floor
