Description

The Lloydminster Community Youth Centre (a program of the Lloydminster Interval Home Society) is currently seeking an OUTREACH COORDINATOR.  The Outreach Coordinator is responsible to coordinate the LCYC Outreach Program and is directly responsible to the LCYC Program Manager.  The Outreach Coordinator is required to develop and deliver the components of the Outreach Programs offered through the Youth Centre which can include but is not limited to: direct street outreach work, visiting with youth at youth gathering places; plan and facilitate weekly presentations or activities within the junior and senior high schools in the city of Lloydminster; plan and facilitate presentations to heighten awareness about the youth centre throughout our service area including a 100km radius of the city of Lloydminster; to establish working partnerships with other agencies, schools, businesses, service clubs, churches, and community organizations with regards to youth related services and in the best interests of LCYC and youth. A post-secondary education in a related human services field is required along with a thorough understanding of youth related issues and challenges and a passion for working with youth at risk.  You must have experience working with at-risk youth.  Experience planning activities and events and with conflict resolution would also be considered an asset. You must possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable speaking in front of groups. You must have a valid drivers license, clean drivers abstract, and a minimum of three years driving and insurance history. You must be a positive team player with a high level of common sense and decision making ability. You must be available to work fulltime including evenings and weekends.
