Job Profile:
The Engineering Technologist creates production drawings and technical specifications, troubleshooting electrical systems as well as performing pre-delivery/post-delivery acceptance testing for new or existing equipment.

Qualifications:

    Completion of a 2 year diploma in Engineering technology, specifically Electrical
    Minimum 2 years electrical engineering or manufacturing experience
    Experience working in a Autodesk environment (Inventor, Vault Manufacturing and Autocad Electrical)
    Experience with ERP systems

Primary Responsibilities:

    Create accurate electrical schematic drawings using Autodesk products (Auto-Cad, Inventor and Vault Manufacturing)
    Assist both Electrical AND Mechanical Design Engineers in the design of the equipment and in determining methods and actions to remedy malfunctions or manufacturing shortcomings
    Develop CAD drawings from old schematics, hand sketches or dissecting existing electrical enclosures
    Manage the technical documentation of the department according to the departmental procedures
    Prepare change requests
    Specify new components
    Periodic travel offsite to commission new equipment installations
