Description

The Estevan Mercury publishes two weekly newspapers, and one monthly newspapers as well as several other publications.

Our production department is hiring a part time Production Technician. If you are proficient with Adobe suite and are comfortable with computer software and Mac, we want to hear from you.

As a production technician, you will assist the graphic designer by preparing all aspects of production materials for our publications.  

Duties will include
-    Proofing and revising ads and pages
-    Weekly uploads
-    Prepare all aspects of production materials
-    Some graphic design work

You must be/have
-    MUST have knowledge in the Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Bridge) especially InDesign as we use it the most.
-    A fast learner and be able to work under minimum supervision
-    Comfortable with Mac and computer software
-    Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
-    Positive and motivated
-    Excellent organizational skills

The position is part time, the time schedule will be made each month according to our monthly deadlines, so must be flexible.
