Description

The Engineering Services Department is accepting applications for a Draftsperson. This is a temporary full-time position reports to the Director of Engineering Services and Operations and is responsible for technical duties associated with the operation of the Engineering Departments mapping systems. This position also assists with various field activities associated with capital projects, infrastructure replacement and maintenance programs, and property development.    

Basic Requirements:
    Successful completion of Grade 12 and successful completion of an accredited Design and Drafting diploma or certificate program;.
    Willingness to obtain a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check as we are a Youth Certified Employer;
    Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License;
    Knowledge of drafting techniques and practices, Computer Aided Drafting and related computer application in municipal engineering, including Autocad, Excel, Access, etc;.
    Knowledge of construction procedures, processes and methods;
    Ability to make effective decisions within the framework of established policy; and
    Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, consultants and the general public.

The salary range for this position is $1,756.15 to $2,136.68 bi-weekly in accordance with City of Swift Current/CUPE Local 183 Collective Agreement.  For further information, visit our Website at www.swiftcurrent.ca.
