The Co-operators is looking for a Data Analyst position in our IT department with a flexible location (Regina, Calgary, or Burlington).

The Data Analyst designs and implements the data related-elements of technology solutions, including data models, physical database designs, and meta-data management. The role analyzes abstract, complex problems and effectively communicates with the business and IT regarding data design, usage, and management to provide project and operations support. The role focuses on business intelligence solutions, and also provides input into the strategic elements of an overall Enterprise Data Management (EDM) strategy. The Data Analyst received guidance form the Senior Data Analyst on more complex data requirements.

Travel Required: Approximately 25%

Your Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 5 years of experience working in database systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Significant experience in complex relational data modelling and database design; dimensional data modelling experience preferred.
Knowledge of ETL processes, as well as data warehouse and data mart principles and best practices.
Experience with database platforms such as SQL Server and Oracle, and modelling tools such as Erwin. Competencies
