The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to manage the Kindersley maintenance district.
As part of the Central Region management team, reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance personnel who preserve, maintain and operate provincial highways within the Kindersley District. You will be responsible for developing the annual work plan, the delivery of the approved program and management of the district budget. As the District Operations Manager, you will represent the Ministry in responding to local levels of government, as well as emergency response agency and public inquiries related to highway maintenance and operations in the Kindersley District.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the District Operations Manager are to plan, deliver, monitor and report the area's highway maintenance and operating programs; manage six sections and the area office with a staffing compliment of approximately 50 personnel; coordinate the planning, budgeting and operation of area equipment; and investigate, respond to and deal with public inquires and complaints.
