Description

New Holland, Saskatoon is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician of purchased parts from suppliers for our production facility.

Job Description:
This positions main function is to perform various inspection techniques / verifications to ensure quality of purchased parts and approve PPAP / IRW documents for purchased parts.

Essential Functions:
- Track and schedule all PPAP pending parts for verification, including performing inventory material transactions
- Perform measurement verifications of parts as required
- Notify appropriate persons of PPAP verification results
- Work with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers for corrective actions for PPAP parts that do not meet      requirements
- Ensure PPAP samples are delivered from suppliers on time and are correctly identified
- Works with supplier and in house Lab Inspectors for consistent measuring techniques of PPAP parts
- Must be able to read drawings and GD&T is required
- Maintain and attach PPAP records to part numbers in internal computer program

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a diploma in Quality / Engineering Technology (previous experience may be considered)
- Strong organizational skills, extremely self-motivated, and the ability to plan and perform work unsupervised
- Working knowledge of manufacturing practices, procedures and inspection methods, e.g. Fabrication, Welding or Assembly
- Working knowledge of MS Office computer applications as well as other software applications
