The Emergency Services Manager will oversee the food program, clothing and donation services, and emergency shelter services.
They will supervise up to 12 employees and will be responsible for all scheduling, submission of timesheets, hiring, coaching,evaluation, and termination.
This person must be able to function with a high level of administration and computer skills. They will be required to order all needed supplies, oversee related budgets, track stats and information, create and submit various reports. They will oversee all of the Missions in-kind donation management and ensure the proper distribution of such donations to other departments. This person will interact with a variety of vendors, meal sponsors and church groups in a relationship building manner, on a regular basis.
Ideally, the Emergency Services Manager would have direct management experience, and the capability to oversee a combination of 10 or so part and full time staff. They will have budgeting and inventory management experience as well. They will have strong organizational skills and proven leadership abilities, with the ability to show compassion to the needy while still modeling professional boundaries to their staff. An ability to see the big picture is essential and a BA degree in social work, pastoral ministries or a related field would be beneficial.
This position also requires a basic understanding of computers, business letter writing and email etiquette, numerical data, and reporting systems.
