Job Description: The Privacy consultant is accountable for developing, implementing and evaluating processes and strategies for organizational compliance with access and privacy legislation within the region.  The Privacy consultant also assists with providing support and maintenance of HIM Information Technology solutions.  These systems include but are not limited to the following:  Registration/ADT system, Audit and Monitoring review of various applications.  
Required Qualifications

Certified member of Canadian Health Information Management Association
A Degree or Diploma in Health Administration, Health Information Management or equivalent post secondary education
Valid Class 5 Driver's license
Experience
Two (2) years experience in the health care sector. Experience with health information management. Demonstrates data analysis experience. Project Management skills are strongly preferred.  Previous education in privacy compliance including the Information Access and Protection of Privacy Certificate program (IAPP) through the University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Valid drivers license
Communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Strong organizational, prioritization, facilitation and communication skills
Project management skills are an asset
Relevant education/experience related to program coordination and planning, program structures, community development, and data entry, collection and analysis
