P.A Community Housing Society Inc, a non-profit organization with 400 rental units, requires a Housing Support Worker whose objective will be to prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless and to assist those who are homeless to find housing. You will develop a working knowledge of the Residential Tendencies Act, conduct home visits, budget counselling and referrals to link clients to services that will assist them in maintaining housing. Learn to provide training by conducting workshops on "A Place To Call Home", contact social and affordable housing agencies, shelters, private landlords in order to develop good working relationships.

Support clients on the application process and once placed, provide practical hands on support to clients to ensure they maintain housing.

Connect clients to income supports, pre-employment support and life skills development. Keep records to measure success of program.
