Description

Pinehouse Business North (PBN) is a northern Saskatchewan Aboriginal owned and operated company. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Human Resource (HR) Manager is a key part of the Companys Management Team and is responsible for the effective implementation & promotion of PBNs HR system. The HR Manager, will lead the creation & and support the Management team in implementing and enforcing the companys HR policies and procedures.  This position is based out of the Saskatoon, SK office on a Monday to Friday schedule.  Flexibility in travelling to remote work sites & PBN offices will be required.  PBN offers competitive salary & benefits packages.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead the recruitment process for all company personnel
Develop, communicate, and maintain PBNs HR policies and procedures
Provide guidance and support to the Management team on all HR related issues.
Work closely with the individuals from the community to develop individualized career plans to develop capacity through coaching, mentoring and skill development
Develop and maintain company compensation guidelines
Maintain personnel files


Skills and Abilities
Post-secondary degree in Human Resources
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or working towards designation
Minimum three to five years experience in an HR related field;
Strong knowledge of HR legislation and practices, including Labour Standards, Human Rights and OH&S
Strong oral & written communication skills
Experience working with a community owned and / or an aboriginal owned organization would be considered an asset
Hands on experience working with benefit programs, return to work programs and the development of performance based incentive programs would also be an asset.
