Description

An employee-owned, Canadian company, Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the water, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. This opportunity will involve continuous improvement of design standardization, working with senior staff to grow the structural building practice, and broaden our client base. Ideally, you desire to make an impact on you workplace and be recognized by the design industry as a contributor to the built environment both sustainably and through design excellence.

You will be joining a dynamic team active in the design of structures for industrial, municipal and commercial projects.  Typical structures include buildings, foundations, equipment and steel structure supports, retaining walls, water retaining structures, and bridges. Duties include structural assessment, studies, analysis, design, and construction inspection.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited university.
- Eligibility for professional licensing with APEGS.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in structural design and analysis, including building, foundations, retaining walls, water retaining structures, and bridges.
- Experience in design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, and construction.
- Experience working on multi-discipline projects.
- Experience in design of structural steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Familiarity with Canadian codes.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Proven technical writing skills.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Committed team player.
