The Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre is currently seeking a full-time Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper.
Responsibilities include managing day to day accounting: payroll, AR/AP, bank reconciliations, GST and PST remittances, monthly financial statements and budgeting. Annually you will be required to prepare supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the external auditors as necessary.
This position requires developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. You will also assist staff with financial tracking for projects and grants as required.
Applicants require a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, federal and provincial legislation affecting Non-Profit Corporations (e.g. legislation on Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety and Human Rights). Applicant should be organized, detail oriented and resourceful in completing tasks with a strong work ethic, reliable and trustworthy using discretion when handling confidential data. A minimum of ten years work experience in accounting and an extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel are required.
The Food Centre offers excellent benefits and remuneration based on experience. Work hours are Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
