This position will report directly to the Controller of a rapidly growing privately owned company located in Saltcoats, SK.
-The candidate must have a professional accounting designation with a minimum 5 years of experience working with finance and accounting teams. A combination of years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit or Finance may be considered.
-The candidate must possess analytical and problem solving skills
-Knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises is required.
-A combination of industrial and agricultural industry experience involving fabrication, construction, and maintenance would be an asset
-Experience with SAP would also be considered an asset
-The candidate must demonstrate sound judgement, planning skills and leadership traits.
Responsibilities:
-Assisting the controller in the direction of the accounting functions of the oreganization - primarily the payables function
-Assistance in ensuring timelines and accuracy of the financial statements
-Preperation of budgets and financial reports including overseeing their evaulation.
-Monitoring operations of the company.
-Managing operational data and maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
-Facilitates the protection of assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
-Conducting account reconciliations and analysis
-Assisting in the company's monthly and yearly closing and related reporting.
-Special projects, as required.
The position will be based in the EMW Head Office located in Saltcoats, Sk.
The applicant must maintain permanent and primary residence within a community considered to be in that general region.
