POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cameco is looking for a subject matter expert in the area of IT security to work with a group of talented and dedicated individuals to ensure our global IT systems are secure and controlled. As a member of this team you will play a critical role in contributing to the success of the business technology services (BTS) department and their goal to provide technological solutions that maximize business value while minimizing risk.  You will be part of a team that implements the information security program, promotes IT security awareness, investigates IT security incidents, audits minimum security configuration settings and monitors the corporations information systems and environment for incidents relating to non-authorized use of privilege or external intrusion attempts. This is a one-year temporary staff position.

Your responsibilities include monitoring IT security events, supporting security incident response, and providing input to security evaluations and reviews. In addition, you will be providing security recommendations within project teams, administrating security tools, and supporting security processes.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements of the position:
    Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
    One year of relevant IT experience
    Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
    Willing to take a one-year temporary staff position
Assets:
    ISACA, GIAC, CompTIA or (ISC)2 technical certifications
