Description

The university is seeking to hire an experienced Institutional Approver to review and approve research related expenditures and to provide highly-effective support and advice to Faculty and Researchers to ensure eligibility and compliance of research expenditures and grants budget development. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service-focused work environment and to participate in the transformation and enhancement of administrative services at the University of Saskatchewan.  
The purpose of this position is to deliver exceptional financial administrative support and customer service to the faculty, researchers and research administrators at the University of Saskatchewan.

The Institutional Approver is accountable to ensure research related transactions are eligible and in compliance with the requirements of funders guidelines and university policy, practices and guidelines. As an integral component of the financial compliance program, this role will enhance research financial administrative services to support the Universitys core mission of teaching, learning and research. This effective and timely support includes: consulting with faculty and researchers to understand how financial transactions are a direct cost of research; supporting research budget development; and interpreting, applying and approving expenses within the parameters established by funding agencies and the university.
