Description

We are currently looking for a retail manager. The manager will work in our warehouse until July 2017 and then will assume other responsibilities at the same level.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for the retail backroom. Working with the retail management team and department leads, you will ensure product movement standards are executed and maintained as set forth by corporate Cabelas and the store management team.

Responsibilities:
Manage the Replenishment, Receiving, and Inventory departments;
Administer and control inventory cycle counts on both the sales floor and in the warehouse;
Monitor the generation and completion for all inventory related reports;
Perform Manager on Duty tasks, including dealing with any customer, employee, or store related issues;
Interview and hire qualified employees, coordinate new hire training, and supervise staff on a daily basis;
Coach and develop department associates by conducting performance reviews, documenting performance issues, and performing disciplinary action when necessary;
Create weekly schedules and maintain payroll accuracy in accordance with time and labour budgets;
Perform store opening, closing and the End of Day e-mail report and cash out;
Track sales and customer statistics, identify opportunities for improvements;

Two or more years of retail management experience;
Knowledge of and experience with inventory management computer systems;
Certified forklift operation license is preferred;
Firearms possession and acquisition license is preferred;
Shipping/receiving/inventory control experience is preferred;
Good interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
Proficient in office software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, e-mail, etc.) MS Office preferred;
Knowledge and/or experience in outdoor activities and associated products preferred;
