Description

The beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan is currently recruiting for a General Manager.

Reporting to the Vice-President, the General Manager will have overall accountability for budgeting & financial management, planning and directing all hotel services. While taking a strategic overview to maximize profits, this position must set the example to deliver a SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts standard of service that exceeds guests expectations.

The GM is a strategic thinker who provides clear, concise direction to the hotel leadership and service teams; inspiring a culture of high performance.  Utilizing strong interpersonal skills the General Manager is the champion in all matters related to associate engagement. The General Manager will excel in change management, facilitation and people management skills allowing for the delivery of operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Direct the annual hotel strategic planning process, operating budget and annual Marketing and Capital plans
Maximize NOI through effective execution of sales and marketing plans, revenue management, food & beverage delivery, customer service and effective cost controls
Anticipate business trends and seasonality, effectively maximizing both revenue and cost management opportunities as they present themselves
Create a strong service oriented and operational excellence culture

Preferred Education & Qualifications:
Certificate/Diploma/Degree or equivalent education in Hospitality or Hotel Management
Minimum of 5 years of senior level management experience; Hotel and/or Restaurant experience critical
Knowledge of Rooms Department Operations as well as extensive experience in Food & Beverage required
Possess a strong knowledge of Gross Operating Profit (GOP), Net Operating Income (NOI) and forecasting
