The Ministry of Central Services requires an Administrative Assistant to help maintain their office and provide support to the Property Management Division.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring documents are typed and formatted accurately and for providing information to staff on processes. Interpersonal and communication skills will be required as you will be in contact, on a daily basis, with various stakeholders, internal and external to government, such as SaskTel, for general inquiries and billing processing. You will work with various computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and MIDAS financials, to create, enter, update and process various documents as well as design spreadsheets and manipulate data to produce statistical reports. You will also be responsible for developing standards, processing invoices for payments as well as verifying and reconciling purchase card transactions. As a timekeeper, you will be responsible for timecard entry into MIDAS meeting strict deadlines on a weekly basis while paying great attention to detail.
Additionally, you will work in a team environment and organize functions to promote teamwork as well as provide general administrative support relating to handling mail, filing systems and records management procedures, photocopying and maintenance of office equipment while following office policies and procedures.
