Description

In this position you will be responsible for directing and managing Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) operations. Implementing and ensuring the consistent operating, configuration and engineering of standards to ensure stable product delivery aligned with department initiatives and expectations. You will support the Network Operations to ensure all DOCSIS solutions are flawless. You will become an integral part of the team, making every problem of the platform a problem of your own, and solving them accordingly.

Main Duties:
- Responsible for the daily management, configuration and upgrades of the following systems:
- Manage and Configure CTMSs
- Upgrade CMTSs
- Troubleshoot and Maintain all DOCSIS Modems
- Configure and Maintain EMTAs devices
- Ensure firmware is up-to-date on all CTMSs, EMTAs, DOCSIS
- Ensure proper EMTAs and DOCSIS configuration files are being set to the end device
- Changes and upgrades to digital box and guides
Researching, testing, analyzing and advising on system upgrades, enhancements, and/changes in technology or best practices in system management.
Hours of work will include being on call on a rotating basis with other team members.

Candidate Qualifications:
- Working experience with VOIP/ SIP Networking, EMTAs, DOCSIS configuration files. Cable modems and wireless routers. Casa, Arris and Cisco Cable Modem Termination System. DHCP, TFTP and DNS as it relates to CTMSs. TCP/IP, VLANS and Routing Protocols. Usage of tools such as ping, telnet and trace route. Ability to read Nagios and Cacti graphs.
- Excellent concentration abilities, accuracy and attention to detail are required.
