Description of Duties:
MUST HAVE HOTEL FRONT DESK EXPERIENCE.
Must be legal to work in Canada.
Utilize suggestive selling techniques to up sell hotel products and services.
Administer and monitor the front desk system to ensure optimum guest room occupancy and
maximum revenue through yield management.
Ensure all new employees are properly orientated and all necessary paperwork is on file prior to
their first day of work.
Implement and provide ongoing evaluation of the Front Desk Standards.
In coordination with the Office Manager, hire, train and supervise all Front Desk staff and provide
effective ongoing training for all new and existing staff as determined in the evaluation process.
Ensure that the most suitably qualified person is appointed in the event of a vacancy.
Respond to guest concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently and inform management of
concerns.
Coordinate daily activities and schedules of all department staff.
Keep work area stocked, organized and clean at all times as defined by the task list and cleaning
schedules posted in the department.
Ensure work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times, reporting any
deficiencies as necessary.
Conduct regular department staff meetings a minimum of six times per year or more often if
necessary.
Attend department head meetings and training courses as required.
Description of Duties:
In coordination with the General Manager, conduct performance evaluations of department staff
within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
Coordinate and confirm tour, conventions and group bookings.
Reconcile cash floats on a daily basis.
Obtain appropriate approvals and signatures.
Review & confirm the validity of all adjustment transactions ensuring appropriate support and
information is available.
