Visitor Hospitality Supervisor

General Description:
As the Visitor Hospitality Supervisor you are responsible for overseeing all visitor service functions on evenings, weekends, and during special events to ensure a safe and positive guest experience at the Saskatchewan Science Centre. This includes the operation of frontline points of visitor contact, supervision of Visitor Services staff, and facilitation of special events. You are an energetic, customer-focused leader who is always ready to ensure staff consistently provides a high quality visitor experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

Overseeing the implementation of special events by ensuring a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable exchange with guests to ensure all events proceed as planned.
Ensure the timely and efficient processing of visitor admissions (front desk, theatre box office) and group visits through the Science Centres ticketing system (ATMS).
Supervise, train, and coach Visitor Service Clerks in cooperation with the Visitor Services Supervisor.
Address guest and staff concerns and questions as they occur.
Facilitate all hospitality requirements for special events. Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Supervising the set-up and teardown of events.
o Liaising with clients during events to address any questions or requirements as they arise.
Handle cash deposits and floats, keeping an accurate record of the daily deposits.
Ensure the building is secure at the end of each day.

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
Demonstrated organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Proven ability to anticipate customer needs, resolve problems, and provide customer service excellence.
Experience working with point of sale software and/or computer systems for ticketing/retail purposes.
Ability working with cash and reporting sales.
