Facility: COMMUNITY HEALTH (MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES)
Job Description: Working out of the Mental Health and Addictions Services  Clinic in Weyburn the incumbent will provide a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education. The Autism Spectrum Disorder [ASD] Consultant will report to the Regional Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services, with support from the Supervisor Autism and Pediatric SLP Program. The ASD Consultant is responsible or the regional planning, developing, organization and delivery of ASD services within the framework of an interdisciplinary team. Specific to Autism Spectrum Disorders, the ASD consultant provides, oversight, coaching, mentoring and guidance to Health Region staff, ASD Support Workers, Educational Staff and Community Partners.
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
Experience
Training in: Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and treatment; child development; and Applied Behavior Analysis. Work experience providing direct clinical services to children. Experience working with children suspected of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Demonstrated assessment skills, appropriate to the profession. Experience providing direct clinical services to client groups. Demonstrated knowledge of normal and abnormal child development.
