Job Description: The nurse practitioner will provide primary health care services to the Family Treatment Centre. This includes: Health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; conducting needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects. This position will focus on pre and post-natal families, children's and women's general health and women who are struggling with drug and alcohol addictions and clients affected by communicable diseases such as HIV/Hep C. Applicant will need to be able to work in a team, successfully promoting collaborative practice with other health professionals on the Mental Health and Addictions and Primary Health care teams.

22.4 hours in a 3 week rotation.  Current registration with the SRNA and Licensed as an RN(NP. Masters Degree in Nursing Preferred. Two to three years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner preferred. Experience working with First Nations Communities.  Shifts (days, evenings, nights) including actual hours, date of commencement and temporary end dates are for informational purpose only and may be subject to change.
