Description

Bridgeview is currently accepting applications for the position of Production Engineer/Technologist at our factory near Gerald, SK.

Working with production, purchasing, and R&D staff, this position is responsible for benchmarking our current production methods and then taking steps to improve efficiency and reduce waste in our processes.

Specific duties may include:
- Documenting production procedures and production times
- Identifying opportunities for cost reduction / waste reduction
- Developing standard operating procedures / work instruction for current product lines
- Developing jigs and fixtures for key components
- Develop improved work stations for production staff.
- Observe machine utilization efficiency. Work as necessary to provide machine specific training to operators.
- Gauge performance of newly implemented procedures

Preference will be given to applicants with:
- a mechanical engineering degree or diploma.
- manufacturing experience
- experience and training in Lean methods
- strong organization and communication skills
- creative problem solving abilities
- experience with CAD and ERP software
