Description

Orange Tree Village is Regina's first and only intergenerational living community, opening in Harbour Landing on December 1, 2016.  Over the next several months we will be accepting 145 new children (ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old) into our learning centre, so are actively recruiting up to 30 ECE Level 1,2 & 3 employees!  In addition, our community will become home to 67 full time residents (mostly seniors) and 4 students who will be active volunteers within Orange Tree Village.

Qualifications:
Education: ECE 1, 2 or 3 (or equivalent)

Compassion and Empathy for Children and Seniors
    To make decisions with the deliberate intention of facilitating trusting relationships with the children, seniors, and other employees
    To actively promote intergenerational activities with residents and children as required
    To truly engage with children and seniors, and receive job satisfaction from it

Judgment
    To recognize how best to engage children through a combination of day to day activities and structured programming
    To respond effectively when you see Orange Tree Livings values being disrespected
    To adjust daily schedules as is required to ensure the children's lives flow easily and naturally

Communication Skills (written and verbal)  
    To welcome families and members of the community into our learning centre
    Daily communication with parents, both oral and written, regarding their childs learning and needs
