Description

Degelman Industries Limited is looking for an individual to join our team as a Paint Line Leader. If you are looking for a challenge to grow your career, then join a vibrant company in the agricultural manufacturing industry.    
Purpose:
Supervise the paint line areas to ensure that safety, quality and productivity standards are met.  Optimize flow of purchased and fabricated components to the assembly bays.

Reports to: Plant Leader

Responsibilities:
    Motivate, train, develop, direct and discipline paint line staff.
    Set goals and priorities for the paint lines based upon the needs of assembly and inventory min/max systems.
    Guide assembly staff to monitor inventory levels of both purchased and fabricated components and report shortages in time to avoid any disruption of assembly.
    Perform quality inspections on materials arriving at the paintline and leaving the paintline.
    Evaluate and monitor paint, paint line equipment and paintline processes and propose and implement improvements.
    Work with maintenance staff to ensure reliable paint line operation.
    Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all paint line processes.
    Continuously improve processes to minimize variation in quality and productivity rates.
    Cross train with other Leaders to ensure efficient operation through absences.

Requirements of the role:
    Must be an exceptional communicator.
    Must be able to create structure and stability within a rapidly changing and challenging environment.
    Must be able to balance conflicting priorities.
    Must understand and embrace lean manufacturing concepts.
    Must be proficient with basic computer operation.
    Experience with two-component paint systems, shot blast systems and related equipment is preferred.

Working Conditions:
    Standard hours of work will be Monday to Thursday, 10 hour days, overlapping day, night and weekend shifts.  Must be flexible to meet the needs of the job.
