Role:
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, this role is accountable for assisting Sysco Regina in ensuring inventory integrity from receiving through to shipment. The individual in this role will lead a team of Inventory Control, Driver Check-In, and Quality Assurance associates and take a hands-on approach in ensuring best practices in these areas are implemented and followed. This includes the accuracy and timeliness of all inventory records, slotting and rotation of all physical inventory, and quality assurance management.
Role Responsibilities:
-Recommend and implement best practices in inventory control, driver check-in and quality assurance.
-Manage a team of unionized associates in the areas of inventory control, driver check-in and quality assurance.
-Responsible for monitoring job performance and productivity of staff including performance management, training, motivation, and discipline as required.
-Create a positive working environment to enhance working relations with other departments (Operations, Sales, Merchandising, Finance).
-Collaborate with other departments to implement best practices in receiving, handling, and storage, to resolve inventory issues and work with the team to find resolution.
-Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures, providing training where required.
-Develop programs to improve the Operating Company?s performance in operating key metrics, including shrink reduction.
-Ensure resolution of quality issues.
