Reporting to the Manager, International Reporting, the Corporate Reporting Analyst will provide extensive support and value as part of the team accountable for managing PotashCorps complex accounting research and global external financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Principles Generally Accepted in the US (US GAAP), and securities commissions requirements in both Canada and the US. The most significant aspects of this position involve monitoring, researching, and advising on adoption and application of new and amended accounting pronouncements, and preparing and coordinating components of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and related documents.
The successful candidate will have a professional accounting designation, an in-depth understanding of IFRS (US GAAP an asset), and a minimum of four years demonstrated current and progressively responsible external financial reporting experience. The candidate must have a strong sense of personal accountability and must possess excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to collaborate cross-functionally on complex issues, driving to timely resolutions, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously are required.
