Job Description: The Mental Health Therapist Staff reports to the Manager of the Clinical Team.  The incumbent will participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.

The Mental Health Therapist Staff within the Mental Health and Addictions Services (MHAS) Team is responsible for the provision of clinical services, health promotion and prevention services, mental health and addiction crisis intervention services to children, youth, adults and seniors living within the Sunrise Health Region.  The position will manage a caseload of brief therapy clients including intake, other assigned duties and group facilitation while working within the context of a multidisciplinary team.  The position will provide case management as required for Mental Health and Addictions populations across the age spectrum by organizing, assisting and collaborating within the multidisciplinary team, families and community partners to develop discharge/recovery continuum of care plans thereby supporting and strengthening social functioning.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing, social work, occupational therapy or other related training
Must hold current registration with the respective association within Saskatchewan
Experience
Applicants with recent experience in a mental health and addictions setting and experience with group clinical service development and delivery are required.

Demonstrated skills in case management/crisis management and group facilitation.
