Our Head Office in Saskatoon is seeking a well-organized, responsible, and highly motivated person to become a member of our Operating Team. In this position, you will be responsible for bookkeeping and accounting activities and will report directly to the Director of Finance. Please note this position is temporary for a maternity leave.
Responsibilities will include:
-Data entry to Quickbooks Pro
-Reconciling Point of Sale system to Quickbooks
-Accounts payable entering invoices and reconciling statements
-Payroll, deductions, and benefits
-Bank reconciliations
-Monthly financial and sales reporting
-Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for other departments
-Government remittances
-Year-end accounting file preparation
-Maintain historical records
-General administration tasks
The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced team environment and will possess the following skills and qualifications:
-Education in accounting from a recognized institution.
-Previous bookkeeping experience will be considered an asset.
-Experience with Quickbooks and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
-Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
-Ability to work in a self-directed manner and as part of a team, completing tasks with minimal supervision.
-Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
