Description

Working under the purview of the Director of Professional Standards and Complaint Process.  This is a full time, contract position.  As part of your duties we hope you will contribute to the CDSS by accomplishing assigned tasks including, but not limited to:
    undertake onsite visits of dental practices by following an established protocol and working with our members to ensure practice protocols are being met in the following areas:
o    Dental Records, Informed Consent Process and Risk Management
o    Infection Control
o    Sedation/Prescribing of Medications
o    Emergency Care
o    Waste Management
o    Radiation Hygiene
o    Collaborative practice, Referral and Ownership
    report findings to the College Quality Assurance Committee
    report to the Director of Professional Standards and Complaint Process on progress and schedule.  
This position requires travel. While onsite at the CDSS office, the employee will perform administrative tasks and assist the Director of Professional Standards and Complaint Process.  

Qualifications:        
    proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
    knowledge of operating standard business office equipment
    excellent communication skills, written and verbal
    ability to prioritize projects and strong problem solving skills
    good research skills and attention to detail
    ability to communicate effectively with our members
    a self-starter, able to work with no direct supervision
    at least 10 years experience working in a dental office
    completed post-secondary training in Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene or Dental Therapy
