Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver group and personal training programs and sessions
Lead fitness classes, conditioning centre orientations, new members consultations, and Youth Fit Starts
Lead Physical Literacy classes (for age groups of toddlers, preschoolers, youth and teens)
Provide CPT-CPATH assessments (if certified CPT-CSEP)
Develop positive relationships with members
Assist to provide a clean and convenient facility for all members and guests
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Personal Trainer Certification (ie CSEP, NSCA, etc)
Post secondary degree is an asset; preferably Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation or related field
YMCA Fitness Trainer/Training Educator certification an asset
YMCA Group Fitness Leader/Instructor an asset
Experience working with children's sport/activity programs
Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, including evenings and weekends
Criminal record check dated within 3 months of hire
Current Standard First Aid, CPR
