Job Description: Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Improvement & Patient Safety, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates skills, knowledge and the principles of adult teaching and learning in the provision of educational programs/services to nursing staff within Kelsey Trail Health Region.  The CNE will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of safe, client centred care through the application of practice standards.  In consultation with the Director of Quality Improvement & Patient Safety, the CNE is responsible for identifying and prioritizing the clinical learning needs across the spectrum of nursing services within Kelsey Trail Health Region.
The CNE is responsible for planning, presenting and/or organizing clinical educational presentations and evaluating these educational activities/programs, while working within budgetary parameters.  The CNE is responsible for maintaining attendance records.
The CNE participates in the development of strategies, policies and procedures to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Clinical Education Program in accordance with the Vision, Mission, Values and strategic plan of Kelsey Trail Health Region.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Intermediate computer skills
Understand the nursing process and principals of adult learning
