Knowledge/Skills/Experience Preferred but not required
Level 1 Wastewater treatment, Waste water collection/ Water distribution
Level 2 Water treatment
Analytical, problem-solving, planning and scheduling skills to inspect, operate and monitor the facilities processes and equipment, and perform routine preventative maintenance take samples of wastewater or water chemicals to make process control adjustments; resolve uses.
Good oral and written communication skills to communicate with staff, council, ratepayers.
Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative.
Ability to work alone and organize oneself to perform operational responsibilities.
Ability and willingness to work on call outside regular business hours.
Traffic Control: the maintenance of street and roads, maintain roadways, sidewalks, signage, etc.
Drainage: clearing debris & ice blockages from catch basis & removing weeds & debris from ditches.
Maintain sewage lagoon, pump house & lift stations, maintain sewage collection mains & house service connections.
Maintain water distribution systems, maintain wells, maintain and repair curb stops.
Maintain grass, water meters, hall maintenance, trails, sports grounds
Mechanically inclined and good carpentry skills are an asset.
