Description

Position located in Kipling, SK.
The Service manager will oversee the service and parts departments and is responsible for the reputation, efficiency and expenses of the department.   The Service Manager is expected to uphold the highest ethical and safety standards and ensure staff in the department adheres to the same values. Manager must be available on call as field operations often run 24/7.  
Duties and Responsibilities
-Work with Executive Management to reduce costs and increase efficiency of the Service Department.
-Collaborate with Executive Management to develop and administer a service budget.
-Create/maintain positive relations with customers, internal and external, making customer satisfaction a priority and minimizing delays as a result of equipment problems.
-Strive to improve efficiency and productivity, strive to reduce costs and develop good purchasing and inventory habits and procedures.
-Train, motivate, coach and mentor service department staff, conduct periodic reviews to appraise performance.
-Establish maintain and develop good working relationships with suppliers and equipment vendors.
-Ensure proper administrative and safety records are maintained, organize and schedule shop cleaning, ensure safety policies are adhered to, scheduling service personnel.
Knowledge
-Vocational training in automobile and/or heavy equipment maintenance and repair, experience operating a service department, parts experience.
-Post secondary business training and/or business experience in the automotive or heavy equipment or agricultural equipment industries.
-Knowledge of Electronic GPS and Electronic equipment monitoring, proficiency with electronic inventory and service management systems.
Abilities
-Ability to work in a face paced environment, ability to learn quickly and work efficiently.
-Ability to establish lean processes and be process oriented, well organized and capable of multitasking, ability to access priorities.
