Casual staff needed:
Supervise children age 2.5 through Grade 6 in a Montessori pre-primary or elementary classroom.
In Classroom
Under the direction of the teacher:
Ensure safe and respectful environment
Assist children with their work
Clean and tidy classroom
Prepare materials
Provide leadership for the class in the absence of the teacher
In Lunchroom and Extended Hours:
Maintain a respectful and safe environment
Keep area clean and tidy
Supervise children eating and playtime
Communicate with coworkers and parents as required
Criminal Record Check required. Will reimburse for correct candidate.

Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
Additional Skills
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
- Assist in housekeeping duties
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Prepare and serve snacks
- Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
- Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Work Setting
