Description

The objective for the position of Accessibility and Elevating Technician is to lead installation projects, examine and assess equipment in order to make accurate recommendations for installations, sales and service.

Location: Saskatoon, SK
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Management to plan and coordinate the assessment, quotation, installation, and follow up of all accessibility, lift and elevation projects as required.
Plan and conduct installation requirements for each job
Prepare all paperwork including the handwritten quote, pricing worksheet, completed order form, measurements & site drawings, photos, etc. for data entry.
Follow all building, elevating and electrical codes where applicable.
Stay up to date on equipment information, installation procedures, and service issues.
Build relationships with Suppliers and Therapists to ensure we are supported on all issues.
Work with the Management in setting up and executing in-services to promote the accessibility and elevating business and the products we sell.
Follow-up with clients to ensure satisfaction.  Initiate regular contact ensure customer needs are being met.
Job Knowledge or Work Experience:
Experience in installing and servicing stair lifts, vertical platform lifts, home elevators, ceiling track lifts and vehicle lifts is a definite asset
Knowledge of home medical equipment products is an asset
A working knowledge of carpentry and electrical is required
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent trouble-shooting skills
Commitment and ability to provide outstanding customer service skills
Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Independent and team based thinking and decision making when dealing with issues related to judgment & decisions.
Must possess a valid drivers license
