Description

Applications are invited for a permanent part-time (50%) Educational Assistant at Fort QuAppelle Elementary Community School commencing as soon as possible.  The successful candidate will work the equivalent of 3 hours and 5 minutes per day.
  
Fort QuAppelle is located 80 kms northeast of Regina on Highway 10.  Located in the heart of the QuAppelle Valley, Fort QuAppelle is close to a large number of recreational activities and is a popular tourist destination. In addition to the QuAppelle lake system, Echo Lake Provincial Park is located nearby, as are two golf courses and a ski hill. There is also a curling rink and an arena, along with a modern health care facility. Fort QuAppelle is also home to many historic buildings.
The Educational Assistant is responsible for ensuring safety, providing personal care and learning assistance for intensive needs students under the direction of the classroom teacher and student services teacher.  Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with cognitive behavioural issues, as well as personal care responsibilities.  Starting wage is at $19.07 per hour.
