Description

The Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies (SAISIA) is an umbrella organization of immigrant serving agencies across Saskatchewan.

SAISIA is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to implement its strategic plan and policies, guide the development and financial sustainability of the organization and provide operational leadership. Responsibilities include planning, financial management, grant writing, contract negotiation, office operations, human resource management, marketing and communications, risk management, sector consultations and educational programming. The ED oversees services to member agencies and stakeholders, member relations, and manages SAISIA staff and resources. He/she will work independently and with partners to advocate for policies and programs that strengthen the settlement sectors capacity to respond to the needs of newcomers to Canada. The ED needs a thorough knowledge of settlement and integration, must provide competent support to the Board, and is expected to be personally committed to inter-culturalism and diversity.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, this is a full-time position (with the possibility of renewal). The ED will work closely and collaboratively with government funding agencies, member agencies, and other stakeholders that serve newcomers. The annual operating budget is $225,000 with four staff, and the Board anticipates a period of growth in staffing, revenue and responsibilities. The work is deadline-driven, client-driven, service-oriented and requires ongoing research.

A full job description, including accountabilities and qualifications is available from the SAISIA website at http://saisia.ca/index.php/news.
