Job Description: UNDER THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE MANAGER OR DESIGNATE, PROVIDES AN ACCESSIBLE, CLIENT-CENTERED AND INTEGRATED APPROACH TO BASIC NURSING SERVICES  FOR WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN IN  THE FAMILY TREATMENT CENTRE; PERFORMS PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT AND IDENTIFICATION OF NEEDS FOR CLIENTS AND CHILDREN AND DETERMINES MEDICAL INTERVENTIONS AND APPROPRIATE REFERRALS TO MEDICAL SERVICES AS REQUIRED. THIS POSITION IS A NEW POSITION AS SUCH REQUIRES THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO IDENTIFY THE PROGRAM NEEDS; AND TO USE CREATIVITY AND RESOURCEFULNESS TO ENSURE APPROPRIATE AND EFFECTIVE CLIENT CARE IN THE FAMILY TREATMENT CENTRE.  INTEGRATING NURSING SERVICES INTO THE FAMILY TREATMENT CENTRE WILL BE A KEY COMPONENT OF THE POSITION. AS PER SECTION 48 OF THE SASKATCHEWAN HUMAN RIGHTS CODE THE EMPLOYER HAS DETERMINED THAT ONLY FEMALE CANDIDATES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS POSITION.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Experience
TWO YEARS RECENT, RELATED EXPERIENCE IN ADDICTIONS/ MENTAL HEALTH
