Description

This is a one year maternity leave position. The Community Development Coordinator will Facilitate and support LDSCR activities that are related to building Community Capacity for Sport, Culture and Recreation programs and services at the local level. In cooperation with other LCSCR staff and partners you will identify community needs, meet with community leaders to create strategies to address these needs, provide supportand assistance to community volunteers and staff; implement and evaluate LDSCR initiatives and services, promote Provincial sport, culture and recreation programs and services.

Duties:
Help to build Community Capacity through Facilitating the development and provision of sport, culture and recreation programs and services at the community level.  This will include community assessments, facilitating community strategies to address sport, culture and recreation issues and priorities, implementing and evaluating District programs and services, developing and maintaining partnerships and District networks.

Education:
Degree or Diploma in sport and recreation administration or related studies

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience in program planning, facilitation, communication skills and knowledge of the sport, culture and recreation delivery systems.
