invites applications for the following position:

PRACTICAL AND APPLIED ARTS TEACHER
at
Twin Lakes Community School
Buffalo Narrows, SK


The Twin Lakes Community School in Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan is a K-12 School with an enrolment of approximately 281 students.  There is a professional staff complement of 25 supported by para-professional and special education support staff.  

The successful candidate will teach a Practical and Applied Arts program in a Construction/ Carpentry Shop environment for students in Grades 7-12. The areas the teacher would be working in are Construction, Carpentry and Welding.  The teacher hired would be expected to work with the Modules developed in the Practical and Applied Arts Curriculum and teach 50 hour courses at the grade 7, 8 and 9 level along with two 100 hour classes at the 10 -12 level.

Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a northern living allowance.  Moving assistance may also be available.

This is a temporary full-time teaching position to start as soon as possible until June 30, 2017.  The successful candidate must be eligible for Saskatchewan Professional or Provisional Professional A teaching certification.
