Description

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual for the full-time position of Director of Strategic Initiatives. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the SACLs strategic initiatives projects. Currently these initiatives focus on, but are not restricted to, inclusive education and disability income programs. This position is currently based out of Saskatoon.



QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelors Degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years experience
    Project management experience and skills
    Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans for each initiative
    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships
    Ability to understand policy documents and to develop policy
    Experience in working with or within provincial and/or federal government departments
    An awareness of the issues surrounding individuals with intellectual disabilities
    Experience managing direct reports
    Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills  
    Experience in problem solving and good judgement; ethical behaviour and business practices
    Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills
    Proficient in MS Office tools
    The ability to travel around the province is required (approximately 25% of time). Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is needed
    Must successfully pass a criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check
