Facility: ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL
Job Description: The supervisor is primarily responsible for provision of patient care in the absence of the managers of the acute care and the long-term care departments. During the night shift the supervisor is directly responsible for the provision of patient care in the Emergency Department. The position is also responsible for coordination of the functions within the facility as well as providing resources to other staff using sound judgement and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience with an emphases on acute care.  Education and experience in primary nursing is an asset. If able to qualify as a Nurse Practitioner with SRNA, inclusion of primary care skills will be included in course of duties.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing, and/or patient care, and/or coordination of equipment
Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice

Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory or designated holiday is recognized during that period
