Express Employment Professionals is currently looking for a Junior Projects Estimator in Regina, specializing in Mechanical Construction & HVAC. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate tender prices from architect & engineer drawings, and be responsible for all pricing & assist the management team pursue new work.
Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing job opportunities that suit the company in terms of job type & risk level
Provide accurate estimates for labour & materials
Analyze plans, specifications & addenda to ensure estimates comply with contract documents
Understand labour variances between project types & apply appropriate correction factors
Assist with budget creation & project management by providing detailed labour breakdowns for each area
Schedule timeframes for required labour, equipment, materials etc.
Attend pre-bid meetings
Responsible for quantity survey, unit pricing, general conditions cost management etc.
Present bid packages with tender price
Revise & Prepare bid packages & addendums as required
Establish & maintain strong business client relationships
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of previous estimating experience in a construction environment
Previous estimation experience in commercial & industrial HVAC
Proficient in reading & understanding blueprints and engineering documentation
Highly skilled in the use of MS Office Suite and scheduling software
Previous experience with Quality Controls Systems
Ability to work well with others as well as with minimal supervision under tight time constraints
Excellent Computer skills
Own transportation and valid Class 5 Drivers license
