Description

Regina's busiest and most beautiful hotel is currently recruiting for an Event Specialist to join our team of hospitality professionals.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre is a high volume, high energy organization looking for an equally dynamic professional.

Reporting to the Catering Manager, the Event Specialist is responsible for assisting in achieving hotel revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by negotiating and coordinating the execution of group catering business within assigned market segments.
Some primary duties will include:

- developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
- generate leads by contacting key accounts and work with sales team to maximize leads and coordinate new projects.
- prepare proposals, negotiate rates and process contracts. Follow up to secure the business.
- compile and analyze reports to meet overall targets and goals of the hotel
- participate in trade shows, bridal shows and promotional events, conduct presentations within the hotel and travel industry
- plan, upsell and detail the meeting/event with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus etc.

Our ideal candidate will be a motivated, positive individual who understands customers and is able to build organizational credibility and develop new revenue sources. You must display the Hilton Hospitality attitude at all times and under all conditions.

University or College degree in Hotel Management/Business Admin is preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs and presentation skills are a must. Hotel Catering or Event Management experience is also preferred.
